Tioman

In the north of the province Johor there is an island group where Tioman Island is part of. Tioman and the neighboring islands are very popular among the inhabitants of Johor Bahru (and Singapore). The island Tioman is simply accessible by boat. From the city busses leave daily to the fishing village of Mersing where you can take the boat to Tioman. A couple of hours by rental car  from Johor Bahru you are entering a beautiful national park in Malaysia; Endau Rompin National Park. This national park is in pristine condition; and especially popular among adventurers, hikers and nature enthusiasts.

Legoland Malaysia

Legoland Malaysia
Legoland Malaysia is Malaysia's first international theme park that has opened in Nusajaya, Johor, Malaysia on September 15, 2012 with over 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions. It is the first Legoland theme park in Asia upon its establishment. The official opening of Legoland Malaysia was made by Sultan Ibrahim Ismail, Sultan of Johor on September 22, 2012. It is the centrepiece of a 5,500,000 sq ft (510,000 m2) integrated complex in the Nusa Cemerlang industrial park, within the Iskandar Malaysia economic region, consisting of a lifestyle retail centre, offices, hotels, service apartments and residential units.
 
Besides the Legoland Malaysia, other Lego-themed attractions nearby will open sometime. The first one will be a Lego-themed water theme park opening in mid-2012 and the other one is The Legoland Hotel, a Lego-themed hotel located at the theme park and also the first to open in Southeast Asia which will open in the first half of 2014. The hotel is built under a management agreement between the company and LL Themed Hotel Sdn Bhd, a joint-venture company owned by Destination Resorts and Hotels Sdn Bhd and Iskandar Harta Holdings Sdn Bhd.
 
The cost of Legoland Malaysia and the water theme park is RM720 million, while The Legoland Hotel costs RM190 million.
 
Only halal-certified food served at the Market Restaurant of Legoland Malaysia. This includes local and foreign delicacies.
 
Legoland Malaysia targets 1.5 million visitors when it opens its doors and generate more than RM100 million in the first year of its operation.

Selangor actually describes Malaysia's most developed and populated state that leads up to Kuala Lumpur's urban sprawl. Here you'll find a Formula One racetrack, the National Zoo of Malaysia, and enormous theme parks including an indoor snow park.

Selangor is busy and booming; shopping malls sprawl as far as the eye can see. When you can't possibly shop anymore, head to the nearby Genting Highlands -- Malaysia's version of Vegas perched on top of a mountain. The First World Hotel was once the world's largest hotel with 6,118 rooms and a theme park.

But Selangor isn't just about LEDs and concrete: The famous Batu Caves are a Hindu shrine and draw large crowds, as do the abundance of fireflies along the river in Kuala Selangor.

Cameron Highlands

The Cameron Highlands are located in close to the city of Ipoh, in the western part of Peninsular Malaysia. Because the Cameron Highlands are higher than many other places in Malaysia, it is usually a noticeable cooler there. For this reason many local Malaysians often go to the Cameron Highlands to escape the warm and humid climate of the big cities of Malaysia. The surroundings are perfect for strolls and hikes; this is the main reason why many tourists head over to the Cameron Highlands. It is again a different Malaysia.
