Drive.MY is primarily a web portal for people to rent cars in Malaysia. We consolidate cars from various car rental companies based in Malaysia so that you can find what you are looking for quickly and easily.

You can browse the extensive collection of cars from various car rental companies in Malaysia, compare prices and check the availability of cars instantly. The whole process is transparent. And when you're ready, you can even book the car and pay for it all within Drive.MY!

How does Drive.MY work?

After placing a booking for a car on Drive.MY, you simply show up with your driving licence to collect the car on the day and at the place given to you by the system during the booking process. Of course, we will get in touch with you after we receive your booking to ensure that the entire process of collecting and returning the car goes smoothly.

What is your cancellation policy?

(Updated 3rd Jan 2015) Cancellations are allowed but are only approved on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at least 1 week before your actual day of pickup to inform us of your cancellations. A small admin charge may apply. Cancellation may not be allowed for some bookings and those scenarios are listed in the full Terms & Conditions.

How do I make a booking?
  1. Sign up for a Drive.MY account.
  2. Browse and select a car in Drive.MY that you would like to book.
  3. Select the dates you would like to book the car for. The price for the dates you have selected will be shown. Click "Book Now!" to go to the next step.
  4. Review the booking information, including the pickup location, date and time. If you have a voucher code, enter it in the box provided.
  5. Review the Terms & Conditions.
  6. To pay using your Credit Card (or if you have a PayPal account), click "Proceed to Payment". PayPal is currently our designated online payment processor. Follow the steps provided on the web page to complete payment using your credit card.
    To pay using funds transfer, click "Pay by IBank". You will receive further instructions to complete payment.
Why can't I book cars more than 2 months in advance

You may be able to book the car if the duration of your booking is more than one week. This is a common requirement requested by car rental companies in Malaysia. The actual required duration may differ from company to company. To prevent confusion, Drive.MY will instantly and automatically inform you of this requirement when you select the dates of your booking.

Is the car in the photo exactly the same as the car I will be collecting?

We work hard with our rental partners to try our best to provide you with the car that you have selected during booking. However, please note that in 2-5% of the bookings, the car provided to you on the actual day of pick up may vary slightly (particularly colour and options). The car provided to you will be of similar grade or of higher grade.

What modes of payment does Drive.MY accept?

You can pay for your booking online by Credit Card through PayPal. PayPal is currently our designated online payment processor. If you prefer, you may also initiate a direct transfer of funds to us. However, please note that your booking cannot be confirmed until we receive full payment.

How do I pay using a Credit Card?

If you wish to pay by Credit Card, simply select "Proceed to Payment" during the checkout process.

You will be redirected to PayPal.

Select the option that says "Don't have a PayPal account?" and you will be prompted to enter your credit card details.

How do I know if my payment by funds transfer is successful?
How do I know the booking is confirmed after the transfer is successful?

You can check the status of your booking through Drive.MY.

  1. Login to Drive.MY.
  2. Go to your account dashboard by clicking "Account" at the top.
  3. Select "Bookings" on the left.
  4. Check the payment status for your booking.

Additionally, we will send you an email to confirm that the booking is successful once we receive payment for the booking.

What do I need to pick up the car on the day of booking?

In order to expedite collection of the car, please ensure you have the following with you during collection:

  1. A receipt of your booking from Drive.MY
  2. Original NRIC
  3. Original Driving Licence
  4. Cash for rental deposit (if any - we will inform you of the amount if required)
